Located an hour's drive out of Chiang Mai we arrive to the elephant

camp where you learn how to be a mahout (elephant care taker).

Learn about the Thai elephants as well as training and handling, feed

and riding all accompanied with practical tests. We ride through

rolling countryside and bathe with the elephants in the river.

Day 1: Introduction of the basic commands, lunch, practical test, elephant riding without a seat/saddle, bathing,

recreation, dining, briefing from the Chief Mahout, accommodation in bungalow with hot water close to the elephant

stables. Day 2: accompany the elephants to the river to bath, breakfast, more training in elephant commands and

follow the animals in the forest, lunch practical exam lesson 2 and riding back to camp, time to say goodbye to

Mahout and all the lovely elephants.
