Sea Canoe is one of the most popular excursions in South Thailand, because it takes the participants along to uninhabited islands in Phang Nga Bay. These islands have in fact made Phuket famous for its maritime beauty. About 30 years ago it was discovered that quite a few of the islands had hidden lagoons surrounded by step cliffs on all sides. Access to lagoons became only possible at low tide, as the cave tunnels otherwise would be flooded. Sea Canoe takes you to the islands with hidden caves and inland lagoon - known as "HONG" that are only accessible at certain times of the day.
