MV ANDAMAN SEAFARER is a comfortable live-aboard vessel in teak and steel and perfectly adapted for diving or touring. She may accommodate up to 14 passengers: 6 in three VIP A/C private cabins (two single berths) and 8 in two FIRST CLASS A/C cabins (four single berths). Each cabin has 2 or 4 single berths with standard mattresses (200x90). She has two showers and toilets. The decks are wide and spacious to provide guests with a maximum diving convenience and tropical living. The vessel is equipped with radar, GPS navigation system, Video depth sounder, CB radio, VHF radio, 2 generators and a 5.50m rigid hull inflatable tender boat with a 40 HP outboard and a ladder. 8 Canoe-kayaks for exploring the mangroves and nearby islands are available to kayakers under the supervision of professional kayakers. Other equipments may be hired from our dive centre before boat departures. Crew of six consists of 1 cruise director/Instructor (Charlie), 1 Captain, 1 Engineer, 1 deck hand, 1 Thai Cook (his food is a feature of the cruise) and several professional kayakers to supervise all kayaking and snorkeling activities. We do not limit the showers during the cruise. - All ceilings inside the vessel are of 2.20 m. - 3 "VIP Cabin" with 2 bunks and 2 “FIRST CLASS” cabins with 4 bunks. - Each cabin has its own air-conditioning with a remote control. - All bunks have comfortable mattresses (200 x 90 x 10). - The kitchen is equipped as a restaurant. We never serve the same meals more than once during the cruise. All guests take their meals on large tables on the roof and the food is served buffet style. - Solarium (5.5 x 12 m) has deckchairs and mattresses. It is the perfect place to have a drink at sunset and during the evening after dinner. - 5.50m rigid hull inflatable tender boat with a ladder and a 40 HP outboard allows access in the most remote places giving our customers an easy mean of accessing the snorkeling and kayaking sites and of course of getting picked up after the snorkeling and kayaking in the most secure conditions. - MV Andaman Seafarer has onboard 8 double sit-on-top kayaks to paddle mangroves and coastal islands in the Andaman Sea under the supervision of professional kayakers. GENERAL INFORMATIONS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS - Seafarer Divers Co Ltd and MV Andaman Seafarer are insured in Thailand with the New Hampshire Insurance Company (AIG) as an inbound dive tour-operator with a travel insurance policy covering up to a 1,000,000 Baht (+/-25.000 €uro) per accident. - We suggest to all participants to sign up for extra travel insurance in order to cover travel risks accident. Without a travel insurance, any accident without a third party responsible to cover the charge will be under the full responsibility of the involved participant (In Thailand: hospital fee may be up to 15,000 €uro). MV ANDAMAN SEAFARER LIVEABOARD TOUR CRUISE WITH SEA KAYAK PADDLING - Chiefs of the Marine National Parks at Surin, Similan, Koh Lanta and Tarutao Islands are warning divers, paddlers, tour and dive tour operators that it is illegal to organize tours into the marine national parks during the monsoon season when the seas are rough and dangerous. The parks are closing from the 1^st of May until 31st October every year - MV Andaman Seafarer is a friendly liveaboard vessel where each participant may be able to get his/her own privacy with a capacity per cruise of 8-14 participants and 6 crew members at most. Most of our guests enjoy coming back year after year and enjoy sending their friends for those key points to MV Andaman Seafarer. - Most of the time participants like to bring aperitifs, spirits, whisky, and wine for the late afternoons or evening parties. - MV Andaman Seafarer has 3 "VIP" cabins and 2 "First Class" cabins. GENERAL INFORMATIONS FOR CERTIFIED DIVERS AND STUDENTS - Seafarer Divers and MV Andaman Seafarer are insured in Thailand with "Chartis Insurance (Thailand) Company" as a professional dive center as well as an inbound dive tour-operator with a travel insurance policy covering up to a 1,000,000 Baht (+/-25.000 €uros) per accident. - We suggest to all divers to sign up for extra dive travel insurance such as DAN http://www.danseap.org in order to cover travel risks and dive accident. Note: Without dive travel insurance, any dive accident without a third party responsible to cover the charge will be under the full responsibility of the diver (In Thailand: recompression chamber fee may be up to 15,000 Euro). - Divers must show their dive certifications and logbooks and sign a waiver of claims before boarding a day dive boat or a liveaboard vessel. - Nitrox 32 is available for Nitrox certified divers. - Buddy system is mandatory on all day dive trips and liveaboards and the divers should have a dive computer and a surface buoy per buddy team at least. - Diving conditions in the Andaman Sea around Phuket or during a liveaboard dive cruise are not like diving inside a lagoon.... Strong currents (moon) and wind (December to February) may change the quality and the safety of the dives; therefore all certified divers must be confident in the water or get additional training before booking dive trips or liveaboards. November until the middle of December as well March and April are two periods with less wind than the period from the middle of December until the end of February. - Divemaster/Instructor supervision is provided on our day dive trips and liveaboard with local dive guides but the service of a private Divemaster/Instructor guiding during each dive is only provided on request prior to the day dive trip or liveaboard and will be charged an extra fee per diver. - Since few years, profit oriented business is pushing dive centers to manage large day dive boats and liveaboard vessels with 20-30 divers and crew of 8-12 people on board including Divemasters/Instructors. Promiscuity aboard, dangerous drop-offs of divers by groups of 12-15 divers at once from the stern platform, overcrowded dive sites with 20-30 divers and Divemasters/Instructors from the same boat at the same dive site by those "cattle-boats", destroy the pleasure of the conviviality, privacy and safety of the divers. - Seafarer Divers Co Ltd provides tanks and weights belt only on day dive trips or liveaboard dive cruises. - Divers must bring their personal dive equipment such as fins, mask, snorkel, BCD, regulator, dive computer, surface buoy, dive suit (2-3 mm) and torch for night dive. Dive equipment may be rented or bought from Seafarer Divers dive center at Chalong Bay Marina before boarding. - Diver owning a regulator with Din system must bring a yoke adaptor to fit our K-valves. Din adaptor may be rented or bought at dive center of Seafarer Divers. - Seafarer Divers does not rent dive torch or U/W camera.

MV ANDAMAN SEAFARER 2011-2012 SCHEDULED LIVEABOARD DIVE CRUISES JTB (Join Tour Basis) - Diving Clubs - Diving Groups - Single Divers IMPORTANT: - All liveaboard dive cruises below are flexible and may be changed according to customers’ requests. - Upon request from individuals or small groups, all regular cruises of the MV Andaman Seafarer with no firm booking may be booked for a private charter with MV Andaman Seafarer either for a liveaboard dive cruise or either for a liveaboard tour cruise with canoe/kayak or a 5 day dive trip package from Phuket. - In the case of a regular cruise, Seafarer Divers will complete all free places if the booking by individuals or groups is not sufficient to fill up the boat with the exception of a private charter booking. From the end of October until the middle of December is the best period for a liveaboard dive cruise in the Andaman Sea. - MV Andaman Seafarer had just got out of shipyard with some new features for a better comfort for the divers. - The crew is excited by the comeback of the liveaboard dive cruises with weekly departures. - Less tourists, so most dive spots are not crowded by mass tourism. - Easier period to find rooms in hotels and seats on international and/or domestic flights at bargaining prices. - Most of all marine national parks (Andaman Sea) had been closed to tourism from May until the end of October so reefs had time to recover. - Warm (27-28°) and clear gin waters with visibility up to 30 meters which is perfect for the most demanding U/W photographers. - Cool period with a little or no wind which is perfect for mooring at night or for relaxing between dives. - Lush green vegetation on all islands following the monsoon from May until October. From the middle of December until the middle of February is the coolest period with sometime strong wind during the night and in the morning. - It is the most solicited period by the mass tourism. - It is the most difficult period to find rooms in hotels and seats on international and/or domestic flights at bargaining prices. - Warm (27-28°) and clear gin waters with visibility up to 30 meters which is perfect for the most demanding U/W photographers but some reefs and beaches are difficult to access with the strong wind. - Cool period with sometime strong wind which is limiting the place for mooring at night or for relaxing between dives. From the middle of February until the end of April is one of the best periods for a liveaboard dive cruise in the Andaman Sea. - Less tourists, so most dive spots are not crowded by mass tourism. - Easier period to find rooms in hotels and seats on international and/or domestic flights at bargaining prices especially on April. - Warm (29-30°) and clear gin waters with visibility up to 20 meters which is perfect for the most demanding U/W photographers. - Hot period with a little or no wind which is perfect for mooring at night or for relaxing between dives. The liveaboard dive cruises are not possible during this period of tropical monsoons where tropical storm can prevent boats to leave port to exposed dive by rough sea over several days. REMARKS - MV Andaman Seafarer is a convenient vessel for a private charter for either sea-kayak paddling and/or touring the beautiful islands in Thailand's Andaman Sea, such as Koh Similan Archipelagos, Koh Bon Island, Koh Tachai Island, Koh Surin Archipelagos, PhangNga Bay, Koh Phi-Phi Islands, Koh Lanta Island, Koh Ha Yai Islands, Koh Rok Nok Islands, Koh Tarutao Archipelagos and Koh Adang-Rawi-Lipe Islands. - Private Liveaboard cruises from 5 up to 12 days on MV Andaman Seafarer are available on request only and are not possible on September and October, as the vessel will go to the shipyard for the yearly maintenance and painting. - These liveaboard tour cruises are ideal for groups of friends or clubs. - On request from individual travelers or small groups, all regular liveaboard cruises without confirmed reservations may be replaced by liveaboard kayaking cruises or liveaboard dive cruises or vice-versa. - There is no fixed departure and return dates but the scheduled cruise must have a minimum of 1 full day for cleaning and loading the vessel before and after the regular scheduled cruises to Similan, Surin, and Richelieu Rock with departures on Sundays and disembarking on Fridays or Saturdays. - Departure from Chalong Bay is in the afternoon (16.30). This first day is free of charge. - Return to Chalong Bay is on the last day in the afternoon (17.00-19.00). - On request itinerary and meals (Thai, Eurasian, Chinese, Vegetarian and Muslim) may be up to the group. - Late reservations just few hours before liveaboard cruise departure disturb the supplying, planning and the timing so we recommend to the tour-operators and divers to book well in advance and before arriving in Thailand. Thank you for your understanding. - National Park fees: Admission for Thai: 80 Baht. Admission for foreigner: 400 Baht. Admission for child (Thai & Foreigner alike): 50% discount. Extra for Diver (Thai & Foreigner alike): 200 Baht per diving day.
